October 7th Menorah

$400.00

This handmade menorah, crafted from stoneware, is a unique piece featuring a somber celadon glaze, accentuated by the application of blue slip. The piece was gas-fired to cone 10.

Purposefully distressed and warped, the menorah serves as a tribute to the events of October 7, reflecting on the pain endured and the imperfections of life, as well as the brokenness, felt on that day. It functions not only as a decorative item for celebrating Hanukkah but also as a reminder of our continued struggle for the right to exist and practice our beliefs free from persecution.

Each flaw in the piece tells a story that resonates with every Jewish family, symbolizing the endurance of pain, the resilience of the human spirit, and the strength we find in unity as a nation.
